“Dr. Emily Klement is a true champion for others – always looking for ways to better the lives of others especially when working in the rural communities. I have had the pleasure to work with Dr. Klement as she built strong partnerships in Graham, Texas to ensure that higher education was attainable to all their residents. Building strong collaborations with community leaders, Dr. Klement shared a vision for a community college in Graham to serve all residents no matter the socio economic status. Once the college became a reality, she continued to provide leadership to ensure that students had the necessary resources to be successful in their educational endeavors. From helping raise funds for scholarships, to partnering with Catholic Charities to bring additional case management for students, to collaborating with local non-profit to provide support, Dr. Klement was a true champion for students.”
“Emily is a tremendous advocate and leader for the UNT Alumni Association. Her knowledge of non-profit management and organizational leadership is unmatched in higher education and her unique ability to marry expertise with personality makes her the ideal ally for any organization. Her servant’s heart drives her passion for mentorship – hoping to leave the next generation in a better, more beautiful place.”
* “Perfect balance of reality and possibilities! Emily is the spark to encourage others to think more deeply; to consider multiple possibilities; and to pursue with determination one’s goals.”
* “Emily’s ability to listen, engage, and instill confidence in others is more than inspiring… it’s truly productive!”
* “Emily is one of the most creative partners I’ve ever had in higher education. She innately knows how to draw entities together to accomplish more than any one alone could do.”
“Dr. Emily Klement is a true professional who encourages people to reach their full potential. As a former school superintendent, I had the honor of working with Emily when she served as a school counselor. She has an uncanny ability to bring people together to achieve a common goal, and her work with public education, higher education, and the private/non-profit industry demonstrates her skill in developing others, especially those who work in leadership. She uses her talents to help others grow so that organizations, and the individuals who comprise them, can improve.”
“I have known and admired Dr. Emily Klement for over ten years. Together we have presented at conferences, managed a large federal grant, trained groups, bounced ideas off each other, and supported each other. As Emily has progressed through community college leadership and into the executive directorship of the not-for-profit Catholic Charities organization, I have been impressed with her tireless effort, devotion, and incredible empathy for individuals whose circumstances prevent them from achieving their highest potential. My association with Emily has been a professional learning experience and a personal pleasure. “
